Boracay is an island of the Philippines located approximately 315 km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.
A number of accommodation types are scattered all over the island, ranging from luxurious hotel types to budget.the Island is one of competitive venue for the Asian Windsurfing Tour with the week-long Boracay International Funboard Cup competition usually held in January on Bulabog Beach.Boracay's two primary tourism beaches, White Beach and Bulabog Beach, are located on opposite sides of the island's narrow central area. White Beach faces westward and Bulabog
Beach faces eastward. The island also has several other beaches.In the 1980s, the island became popular with backpackers.Since then, Boracay has gradually become a cosmopolitan tourism destination and, in the 21st century, has become one of the major tourist destinations in the Philippines.

Kumpirmadong Binawian na ng buhay ang Comedy King na si Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon,    Labing-limang araw bago ang kanyang ika-84 taong kaarawan, ayon sa kanyang long time partner na si Zsazsa Padilla. Ganap na alas-8:34 gabi ng Martes nang bawian ng buhay ang tinaguriang King of Philippine Comedy matapos ang mahigit isang buwang pananatili sa Makati Medical Center mula noong June 9. Sa statement ng Makati Medical Center sa pamamagitan ni Dr. Jake Marty, assistant medical patient's relation, binawian umano ng buhay ang aktor dahil sa "multiple organ failure."     Si Dolphy o Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr. sa tunay na buhay ay ipinanganak noong July 25, 1928 sa Tondo, Maynila.i sang mekaniko ang ama nitong si Melencio Espinosa Quizon habang mananahi naman ang kanyang inang si Salud Vera-Quizon. pangalawa ito sa 10 magkakapatid,  pinasok nito ang iba't ibang hanapubuhay gaya ng pagtitinda ng mani at pakwan at pagiging shoeshine boy noong kasagsagan ng World War II.
